cars the movie was a great movie it was based on the real route 66
all of the cars were real cars but some of the cars were a cross between 2 cars like stanly was a cross between a modle T and a stanly steemer ( not the carpet cleaning place)
the fadouls hudson hornet was a real race car hudson hornets did race in nascar and they won a lot of the time there were over 10 hudson hornet called the fabouls hudson hornet but the one used in the movie is the one in darlington SC infact it won the first race on the darlington race track (as you see on the home page) Doc Hudson was a !951 Hudson hornet
Ramone was a 1959 impala low rider that had hydrolics installed and a cool paint job a lot of old impala you see now do have hydrolics whichs lit the cars drive on three weels and the hole car to lift about 1foot they can "dance" and go you on 2 weels when not moveing and driving on three wheels lets the car bounce

The ghost light is a made up story about a glowing orbe of light on route 66
Mater refers to the ghost light 2 times in the movie.
